All The “Mane” Summer Events at Ffos Las
Ffos Las Racecourse, set in the heart of Carmarthenshire, has an exciting line-up of events this summer.
Along with seven regular fixtures that offer exhilarating horse racing there’s also three themed feature meeting events which are not to be missed, and they’re off!
May Bank Holiday Madness
At the front we have the May Bank Holiday weekend which see’s the eagerly anticipated Madness concert, racing gets underway at 6.05pm and the iconic Ska band are set to perform after 9.00pm. It will be a concert that Band member ‘Suggs’ will be particularly excited to perform at as he has a strong Welsh heritage and links to the local Pembrokeshire town of Haverfordwest.
Holding steady in the middle there’s a first for Ffos Las, an Elvis Racenight on Friday 12th July! It is the last jumps meeting of the season so will be fiercely competitive and the last chance to see top jockeys such as Richard Johnson and Sean Bowen in action before the flat season starts. After racing there will be a performance from the well-known Elvis tribute band, Suspiciously Elvis. We are encouraging customers to dress up in their favourite Elvis costumes and head down to the racecourse for a wonderful evening of great racing and fantastic entertainment.
August Bank Holiday Ladies Day
Last, but not least, the August Bank Holiday Friday see’s the return of the popular annual Heatforce Ladies Day. This year customers will be treated to the popular ABBA tribute, Bjorn Again after racing, it is definitely a race meeting not to miss. There will be the chance to put on your best outfit and head to the track for Best Dressed Competition and enjoy a glamorous day. There are plenty of hospitality packages available which can be discussed with one of the members of the team at the racecourse.
