Barti Rum Raises Funds for Local Causes

Returning for a second year, Barti Rum has recently held their ‘Barti Art’ competition where people are invited to enter pieces of art inspired by Barti Spiced Rum. Each is in with a chance of winning a generous cash prize and a bottle of the rum itself.

Now, with an abundance of original artwork from this, and last year’s competition, Barti has decided to hold a charity auction. Potential bidders can opt to view the art which is up for sale either online in an album on the Barti Rum Facebook page, or in person at Wiseman’s Bridge Inn up until Saturday the 26th of October. All money raised through the sale of art will go to two charities which champion the sea.

First is local charity N.A.R.C. (Neptunes Army of Rubbish Collectors) who are based in Pembrokeshire. The team painstakingly clear rubbish which has ended in the sea, one item at a time by diving. Their work helps to protect wildlife and keep our waterways tidy. The second charity is the Wildlife Trust, particularly in their efforts to restore the kelp forest off the coast of the UK, which have recently been proven to absorb as much, if not more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than some of the world’s rain forests.

The minimum bid required is £1 and it’s for a great cause, so please visit, join in, bid, and you might just win yourself something beautiful! Email bids accepted until midnight on 27th October 2019.
