This delightful property, which sleeps two adult guests and one child, is a perfect welcoming holiday home for couples or young families wishing to explore the glorious Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The corner cottage is one of a group of six, converted from stone outbuildings and set in a pretty landscaped courtyard full of flowers and herbs. Discover shops selling local produce, cafes and restaurants in the historic county town of Haverfordwest (1 mile). Then head for family-friendly Broad Haven Beach (5 miles) to find a paradise for children and adults alike. Swim, paddle or take a stroll along a vast expanse of golden sand, with rock pools to explore and lifeguards on patrol during the summer. Popular with surfers, the beach is also a favourite for watersports enthusiasts. There are shops in Broad Haven village selling or hiring the right equipment and, if you are keen to learn, a surf school at Newgale beach (7.5 miles) offers lessons to young novices from age eight and family groups. Enjoy a walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path in either direction and drink in amazing views all the way. See a close-up of the famous resident puffins on a day trip to beautiful Skomer Island, less than a mile off the coast. Surrounded by towering sea cliffs, the island is a National Nature Reserve and one of the country’s finest wildlife sites, where you may spot Atlantic grey seals, dolphins and a host of sea birds. The boat trip from Martin’s Haven, near Dale (10 miles), takes just 15 minutes each way and visitors can spend 4.5 hours exploring this unspoiled refuge.

Enter the cottage up three steps from the hall, into a light-filled open-plan living/dining/ kitchen area. Above is an airy vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. A feature stone wall and other original walls painted white enhance the country character of this beautifully planned and furnished retreat. After a great day out, relax on the large sofa in front of the gas fire and watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Keen cooks will relish using the streamlined white kitchen and from the dining table, you can eat while enjoying countryside views. An original stone wall in the stylish double bedroom is also painted white, reflecting light from the roof window above. The spacious bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. A wooden staircase from the ground floor leads to an open gallery where roof trusses restrict headroom but with enough space to create a cosy bedroom for a child.

Outside, a private south facing decked patio with steps down into the garden has a table and chairs where you can enjoy al fresco dining and lovely views across the countryside. The garden comprises a large, shared lawn with picnic benches, a built-in BBQ and a splendid play area to delight young children, with swings, a playhouse and a wooden pirate ship.

Lovely little cottage with beautiful countryside views. Very secluded and quiet . The owner was very friendly and offered lots of advice on walks and bike rides. The cottage was absolutely spotless with well kept gardens and maintained to a very high standard. We had a fantastic stay.
