Families seeking that rare balance of a reviving and relaxing break will be delighted with this property – it sits close to Wales’ glorious Atlantic coast as well as the attractions and amenities of lively Haverfordwest, and yet is peacefully located in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside. Broad Haven’s vast sands and rock pools are only 5 miles away; for the adventurous, surfboards, paddleboards, wetsuits and kayaks are available for hire in the village. On dry land, there are a number of wonderful walks around the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park suitable for all ages – the rugged Atlantic coast scenery is breathtaking. For a fantastic family day trip, head to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, 15 miles, for the wildlife, the funfair and the adventure playgrounds.

This stylish barn conversion has two good-sized bedrooms on the ground floor – one double with French doors opening out onto the garden and one cosy twin – as well as a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. An open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is cleverly positioned up on the first floor, making superb use of space and light; here, a vaulted, beamed ceiling and exposed brickwork make this a very handsome and appealing living space. The lounge area enjoys extra light and countryside views through French doors that lead out onto a Juliet balcony. Here, smart sofas are gathered around a TV and a wood burner-effect electric fire for cosy nights in. To the rear of the room, there’s a dining area with a table and seating for four, an island with bar stools perfect for a quick morning coffee, and a well-equipped, contemporary kitchen.

Outside, this property has its own compact private garden, furnished with a table and chairs. The patio and lawn areas are surrounded by a feature wall with attractive planting. Guests are also encouraged to enjoy a further shared garden, a BBQ area with picnic benches, and a toddlers’ play area.

The Barn has been a comfortable 'home from home' for our weeks holiday. Picton and Carew Castles both worth a visit, the bird and other talks at Picton were a great hit with our kids. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

A wonderful stay in The Barn for the second year running. The property feels really homely and is very clean. The gardens are so tranquil and beautifully maintained. It is perfectly situated for visiting the beautiful coastline of the area, and it was a perfect base to return to in itself. It is in a quiet location just out of town, but only a 5 miRead morenute drive to the large supermarket, making self catering very straightforward. We will certainly recommend it. Hide

We've had a fantastic week - this is a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire. Highlights for us include Barafundle, Marloes and the Bug Farm (where we even got to hold some insects) Thank you for a lovely break.
