Self-catering holiday cottages in Solva

Solva is a picturesque, sheltered harbour village in North Pembrokeshire, a few miles from the UK’s smallest city of St. Davids, but with its own distinctive character and charm. It has a good range of pubs, restaurants, and cafes in a town which is split between two levels, lower and upper Solva. Along the elevated local coastline, you can take in spectacular views of the northern part of St. Brides Bay as the estuary winds into the harbour.

It’s well worth taking the short walk to the Gribin, an Iron Age fort above the village, both to stretch your legs and for the impressive coastal views. Solva Wollen Mill is also a great historic attraction. Having first opened in 1907, it is still in operation and you can visit the weaving shed, have a break in the tearoom and come home with a woven souvenir from your stay in Wales.

Every year, Solva plays host to a range of events such as open-water sea swimming events and the popular village literature and music event, Edge Festival.

Solva remains a popular hotspot and holiday destination, with a range of things to do and see, as well as fantastic places to stay locally. Enjoy a day trip to the small city of St. Davids which is just a few miles down the road and soak up the history and culture while enjoying a browse of the shops, not forgetting a visit to the magnificent Cathedral.

Our Solva holiday cottages are equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay in Pembrokeshire. Whether you’re looking for a dog-friendly break, a getaway with your partner or a holiday with family or friends, this lovely harbour village is a wonderful choice, and our holiday cottages in Solva put you in the heart of the albeit relaxed and slow-paced action!
