Self-catering holiday cottages in Bosherston
Stay at one of our self-catering holiday cottages in Bosherston, near Tenby. This charming Pembrokeshire village is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), 5 miles south of the historic town of Pembroke. It is a beautiful exemplar of a traditional Pembrokeshire village complete with a classic tower church, built in the late 1200s on the foundations of an even earlier place of worship.
Bosherston is within easy distance of the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path which provides views of the sea and some truly gorgeous beaches. The nearest beach, beautiful Broad Haven, cradles the iconic Church Rock in the middle of the bay and is a 30-minute walk away. Barafundle, voted one of the top ten beaches in the world, is a longer walk or a short car ride away from Bosherston. The limestone cliffs and headlands all along this part of the Pembrokeshire coastline are popular with climbers and have been shaped by the elements into famous features such as the Green Bridge of Wales and Huntsman’s Leap, both of which are very close by. St Govan’s Chapel is just down the road from Bosherston and is a sweet little sixth-century building tucked into a cleft in the cliffs. It takes its name after the hermit and saint who lived there. Other visitor attractions include Stackpole Quay and Woods (managed by the National Trust), and Stackpole Walled Gardens. Stackpole Quay is the perfect place to go kayaking and coasteering plus the woodland has some fantastic off-road bike trails.
For eateries nearby, Ye Olde Worlde Café has been serving refreshments on the front lawn to hungry walkers and climbers since the 1920s. There is also a pub within the village, the St Govans Inn which serves traditional, hearty food. The very highly recommended Stackpole Inn is just down the road from Bosherston too.
