A charming Pembrokeshire hideaway, this delightful Welsh retreat is the ideal place for your coastal break at any time of year. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom cottage is less than 1 mile from Stackpole and 2.5 miles from Freshwater East. Venture just 1.5 miles down to the picture-postcard beach at Barafundle Bay, with its turquoise waters and light sands. Another beauty spot, where you can swim and snorkel, is Broadhaven South Beach, 5 miles away. Head out from the cottage on country walks or pick up the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast Path and stride out in either direction for incredible seascapes and perhaps sightings of dolphins and porpoises. Pembroke, 4 miles away, is perfect for shopping, dining out and visiting the spectacular castle. Plan a day trip to bustling Tenby, 10 miles away, with its colourful seaside appeal, many attractions and boat tours out to Caldey Island to see the puffins.

Open the front door to the cottage and amble inside to find bright accommodation that combines modern-day comfort with original character. The large lounge, with its beamed ceiling, has ample space for everyone to spread out and relax. Light the wood burner in the brick fireplace in here after crisp autumn and winter walks, then settle on the plump sofas in front of your favourite programme or a good boxset on the Smart TV. Help yourselves to a book from the shelves or play a hand or two of cards at the coffee table. The adjoining kitchen/diner is another superb holiday space. Unpack your provisions in this airy room and discover everything you need to help you whip them up into delicious dishes. Congregate at the table for hearty Welsh breakfasts and lively dinners. When you are ready to turn in for the night, the wooden staircase rises from the centre of the lounge and sweeps you up to all three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, all with charming sloped ceilings and good storage space. The beautiful family shower room is also located here.

Take pleasure in the excellent private outside space at the cottage. Play games with the children on the south-east-facing, enclosed garden’s lawn and relax with a cup of tea and freshly baked Welsh cake on the patio. Steps from the patio lead down to the grass. There is private, off-road parking here for two cars.
