Self-catering holiday cottages in Pendine

Pendine is a small West Wales village set on the coast of West Carmarthenshire at the western end of Pendine Sands – a 7-mile stretch of coastline which encompasses some of the key towns and villages in Carmarthen Bay.

The village is split between a settlement on the hilltop and the area around the harbour. It is famous for being the location of numerous land speed record attempts, and has been used by pioneers of speed for almost 100 years. While the area is synonymous with speed, holidays here are far from fast-paced. Leisurely walks along the beach are a must, including with your dog as there are a wealth of dog-friendly beaches to choose from and a number of fantastic coastal walks in the vicinity, offering up splendid views of the Carmarthen coastline.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, head for one of the welcoming eateries in Pendine, with cafes, fish and chips, a takeaway and a pub to choose from. Once you’ve recharged your batteries, perhaps you’d like to try your hand at one of the activities on offer at the Morfa Bay Adventure Centre, which include climbing, abseiling and coasteering. If you’d rather keep your feet firmly on the ground while still enjoying the wonderful scenery, head for the National Trust’s Ragwen Point where there are views across Carmarthen Bay and fascinating local history on a clifftop walk.

We have a collection of Pendine holiday cottages to suit everyone, whether you’re planning a getaway with your partner, organising a family adventure or heading off for a get-together with friends and family. If your four-legged friend is coming along too, take a look at our dog-friendly holiday cottages for the perfect accommodation.
