This property is a lovely barn conversion in the same complex as two other holiday cottages, located in a rural spot around 3 miles from Saundersfoot and its golden sands. Sleeping six guests in three rooms on two storeys, it can house a larger family or extended group of family and friends, especially as the other cottages can be hired too for a much bigger gathering. Tenby and Saundersfoot are calling with their amusements, independent shops and beaches. Tenby is 6 miles. There are many other coves, bays and beaches to explore along this Pembrokeshire coastline, too. Visit the castles – in varying states of preservation – at Tenby (5.8 miles), Carew (5.5 miles) and Pembroke (9.2 miles) to get a taste of Welsh history. Or if it’s a day for the children, head just 2.4 miles to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, 5.3 miles to Oakwood Theme Park or 3.8 miles to Manor Wildlife Park.

The welcoming lounge has comfortable seating and a stylish wood burner in the corner. If you want to self-cater and eat indoors, there’s a foldaway dining table too and rustic latch-style wooden doors. The wooden stairs go from here, and there’s also a door to access the exterior space. The attractive kitchen is modern, with everything you need – whether you’re cooking full meals or just snacks which you can eat at the attractive three-seater breakfast bar. The ground-floor accommodation is finished with a shower room and WC and one double bedroom – perfect for older members of the family? The lovely double bedroom feels really spacious with its extravagant vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, Velux window letting in even more light and wooden floorboards. With the crisp, calm decor it’s the perfect mix of old and new. There’s a cot in here too. The twin room is a really welcoming space with lovely beams, floorboards and quaint low-level window. Perfect for a nap any time! They share a bathroom with bath, WC and yet more beams to gaze at as you soak.

Usher in the day over a cuppa at a bistro table for two outside the property, otherwise there are shared communal areas with garden furniture.

What a fantastic stay we had in Maggies cottage. Beautiful cottage with everything provided that you could possibly need. Very clean and comfortable, great location to local attractions and we would highly recommend others to stay. Thank you very much!

Booked this cottage as a base to explore Pembrokeshire. After extremely busy days walking/running/coasteering, it was lovely to return to a warm, clean and cosy cottage which had everything we needed. Unlimited hot water, excellent modern kitchen with huge supply of crockery and lots of extra touches thoughtfully provided by the owner. Even the wRead moreeather was kind, despite the unpredictable forecast. Hide

The property is lovely but the cleanliness is not too good there were socks behind the radiator and drawers, cobwebs everywhere and the windows were very dirty, there was too much in the kitchen cupboards and nowhere to put your own food. Also one of our party fell off the back step as it really is a hazard

Mrs Patel and gone that little extra with Easter card and chocolate for the kids. Milk tea and coffee. Fire was laid ready for the evening. We saw Mrs Patel the following morning and was bubbly and cheerful

Overall Maggies Cottage was good value for money. Unfortunately the traffic noise was louder than we would have liked, no problem during the days as we were out, but meant we couldnt sleep with our windows open at night due this. A few things would have made our stay better. Poor wifi and the TV not connected to it (I had to set this up myself whRead moreich took a few hours on the first 2 evenings to get it working). The freezer was too small. I think it was a shared freezer between the 3 properties, but even if it wasnt it was too small, especially for self-catering purposes. Perhaps a larger freezer could be instated in the coat cupboard downstairs? Also as a self-catering property there was no real cupboard space for our groceries in the kitchen so they had to be left out on the counter space and breakfast bar. According to the inventory a coffee machine or cafetire should have been supplied, but nothing was found so we had to buy one. As I said overall it was good and the location was great for us with so many sites, beaches and things to do nearby. Hide
