Stay with your family of four at this lovely, characterful cottage in the rural hamlet of Walwyn’s Castle. Situated within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, there will be plenty to explore within easy reach. Just 2 miles away is the pretty seaside village of Little Haven where you will find a pub, cafe and some fine coastal views. The neighbouring Broad Haven (3 miles) has a convenience store, and a wide stretch of sandy beach. Hop in the car and head to Oakwood Theme Park (16 miles) for a wonderful, adrenaline-fueled family day out. If you prefer something a little more relaxing, visit Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, 20 miles from the property. If you are a group who loves walking the coast and countryside, you will find the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2 miles away.

This lovely home adjoins with the village hall, the hamlet’s original school. It has beamed ceilings and exposed stonework throughout, bringing a real sense of character to this practical home. Hang up your coats, sandy towels and walking boots in the hall, before heading through to the kitchen/diner. Prepare a delicious meal in the country-style kitchen and eat together around the dining table reflecting on your day. The lounge has comfortable seating, and a flame-effect electric fire which will keep you warm on chilly nights. A delightful family bathroom with a shower over the bath, completes the ground floor. For restful nights, choose from a king-size or twin bedroom, both situated upstairs.

Directly outside the cottage is an enclosed garden with a courtyard area and lawn grounds. Take a seat on the picnic bench, a great spot for morning coffee or dining alfresco as the sun sets.

The School House was in an idyllic setting , next to a church and cemetery which meant the neighbours were very quiet lol! The enclosed garden was just enough for our 2 girls (5+7) to ride round and round and make dens and play, and there was a nature reserve about 100m from the house. The garden kept the sun until the last and we stayed out until Read moreabout 9pm each night trapping the last of the sun in the yard. We generally went out for the days and explored different beaches /castles/parks/walks - there was plenty to do within half hour drive. The School House itself does not have any immediate amenities nearby, but we wanted the super private tranquil retreat after long days out and thats just what we got. Good Job ! Hide

We stayed at the property last September so we're already familiar with it- it is in an excellent location- very quiet and peaceful but within easy travelling distance for most places of interest. A very comfortable and restful property which we will visit again ??

Very good communications ahead of the booking and for us a quiet place which suits our needs for a rural and coastal getaway. We also prefer to support a community run facility over a second home like location
