There are two great nearby towns: Mumbles (3.5 miles), which has a castle, excellent shopping and an iconic beach and Swansea, which is bigger and is 5.5 miles away. Both of these are well worth exploring, for their local delicacies and for their fascinating stories. Any surfers in your group should make sure they visit Rhossili Bay Beach, 13 miles away, to catch excellent waves. Finish your holiday with a trip to Culver Hole, 11 miles, where geology meets history for a medieval cave fortification, full of legends.
