The unspoilt Welsh town hosts regular markets each month, where you can pick up a great selection of handmade crafts and local produce. Heading to the coast, the picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron (16 miles) is full of charm. Amble amongst its colourful houses and picture-postcard harbour, before hopping on a boat to go looking for bottlenose dolphins off the shore. It’s also a walkers’ paradise, with the Wales Coast Path passing through the town.
