Experience the best of both worlds in this striking stone cottage. Surrounded by 26 acres of fields and farmland on the edge of the Gower Peninsula, this is the perfect rural retreat. However, you’ll also be just 5 miles from the vibrant city of Swansea and 6 miles from the popular seaside resort of Mumbles. The cottage sleeps four guests, meaning it’s ideal for a small family or two couples. The cottage has an immaculate shared garden – a real sun trap – where you can sit to read a book or enjoy an al fresco lunch.

The elegant cottage is decorated in a contemporary style and is filled with natural light, thanks to large windows framing the lush Welsh countryside. At the heart of the home is the spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can unwind on the plump sofa or curl up in an armchair to watch the TV. On a summer’s day, throw open the double doors to let a gentle breeze flow through the cottage. After a busy day of sightseeing, rustle up a tasty meal in the stylish kitchen, to enjoy together around the dining table. Outside, a shared lawn wraps around the property. Fire up the BBQ to cook the tasty treats you’ve collected on your travels and spend a night of good food and great conversation under the stars.

Mumbles is full of Welsh seaside charm. Wander along the Victorian pier with a delicious locally made ice cream, potter around the cute boutiques and gift shops or embrace its history with a trip to Oystermouth Castle. Heading west into the Gower Peninsula, you’ll discover an unspoilt haven of ancient woodland, remote saltmarshes, hidden coves, and sandy beaches. The walk at Three Cliffs Bay is simply stunning and keen surfers must experience the waves at the iconic Rhossili Bay.

The cottage is in a great location on the edge of town thus with access to amenities, and yet also with easy access to the Gower countryside. The view from the sitting room is green and lovely, and country walks are available from the doorstep. The hosts are very friendly and live next-door.
