The standard of cleaning could have been better with a large number of cob webs particularly in the velux windows so not recent. The cottage would have benefited from a welcome pack to get us started as located in the middle of nowhere to then have to seek milk etc was not ideal. Having staying in many cottages before I felt that the welcome arrRead moreangements could be improved particularly as this is priced at the higher end. There was only one tea towel and nothing in the cottage to clean dishes. The windows were dirty and needed to be cleaned. Beds were comfortable although there was some staining on the mattress which was evident as we had to strip our own beds at the end of the stay. The small area outside the rear of the cottage needs to be weeded. The glass table outside needs to be cleaned and there should be a parasol provided as sitting out is impossible in the sunshine. The dining table inside was sticky and needs a really good clean. The doors all need to be oiled as difficult to open and close. Extractor fan in upstairs bedroom was really noisy. Used to a little more luxury in this price bracket sadly. Finally understand that this is working farm but if also offering an expensive holiday experience then keeping loud conversations to a minimum early in the morning would be good. I would recommend a stay to someone if they wanted a remote farm location. Hide

Superb! We loved our stay. We have a one year old and she loved the cows and sheep onsite. Also the swings, slide and dog walking area onsite were really helpful. The hot tub was huge and located in a lovely timber and glass enclosure overlooking the nearby fields. Nice country cottage, enjoyed our stay ideal for us taking a dog, however taking a walk was limited due to the lack of footpaths and narrow roads.

We had a lovely time, the house was well equipped, comfortable and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Be prepared to drive everywhere. The farm is on a very narrow lane, but it helped enormously that we were able to let our dogs off in a small fenced field adjacent to the cottage. It made such a difference to us and our pointers. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The kitchen was good, and we particularly liked looking out to the field, watching the cow and calf while washing the dishes. The beds were comfy, and there was a little garden that was handy for the dog, but it also had a washing line to put my swimming bathers on after the jacuzzi.
