A romantic retreat ideally situated on the cusp of town Kidwelly, and well situated for exploring the Wales Coast Path and tourist attractions of Carmarthenshire and beyond. The pretty cottage is perfect for couples and two canine companions who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and take some time out in a rural location.

 

Head inside the stone-built property and find it bursting with character due to its country-style decor and furnishings. Cosy up in the lounge/diner in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire and watch a film or your favourite TV show together. Cook up some tasty food in the well-equipped kitchen which also has a dishwasher and washer/dryer should you need to clean off muddy clothes or dog leads. Take the wooden staircase to a welcoming bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and superb views across to the castle and countryside. Outside is a gravelled area, though shared with the neighbouring property, you will have your own table and chairs. For keen cyclists or those who enjoy fishing, a secured outdoor storage space is also provided.

 

Kidwelly is a quaint and historic Welsh town with its own castle, a few shops and restaurants and access to fantastic walking routes. Spot wildlife along the Kidwelly Canal and Quay or visit the Llanelli Wetland Centre, 12 miles from here. Llanelli also has a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars for you to peruse. Head 16 miles to the National Botanical Garden of Wales that covers 568 acres of countryside.

Perfect base to explore the south coast. Lovely comfortable cottage and fully equipped with everything you're likely to need to have have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. 2nd visit and will almost be back again in the future.

Beautiful little cottage. Superbly equipped and maintained. Hosts are great and very friendly. Visited twice now and will defiantly look at returning again. We have two big golden retriever dogs and the cottage accommodated them with ease. Every where is very dog friendly. Great holiday.

Fabulous cottage and very comfy and cosy. The weather was good so were able to sit out on bench and bistro set provided and very secure for our small dog. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. We were lucky to meet owners and they were very friendly and informative of places to to visit within the area. Highly recommend!

A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean with everything you need. A short drive away is Berry Head with great beaches that are almost deserted. The Castle across the road is a magnificent structure and well worth a visit and there are a number of excellent places to eat at reasonable prices close. Your dog will love it there are lots of quiet paths and Read moreopen beaches where he/ she can explore and run in safety. We thought the area was an undiscovered gem. Good cheap rail links up and down the coast. Hide

A wonderful cottage which is well equipped with all mod cons, we wished for nothing. The cottage is situated near to Kidwelly castle is a must to visit as it is both very historic and well maintained with excellent views over the country side.

Amazing and clean cottage with very helpful owners, will definitely be staying again! The area is lovely too, with Kidwelly being relatively quiet but not far from Llanelli, Carmarthen and Tenby which are great days out!

The cottage was so beautiful and provided a lovely setting for Christmas break for us. It was very clean, looked after and the owners communicated extremely well with us throughout if and when we needed any help. The local area in Kidwelly has a castle you can walk around and Parc y Bocs had a really tasty breakkie menu. Only a 10min walk up the hiRead morell from the cottage. Highly recommend staying at the cottage for a cosy break away from it all. Hide

Such a comfortable, stylish and comprehensively equipped cottage. You'll want for nothing. Great communication with the owners. Ideal base for walking coastal path with great transport links. Fantastic food at the Moathouse nearby.

Kidwelly cottage is fabulous: spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, perfect bathroom, well equipped kitchen, secure parking/garden area, etc. There are some fabulous walks nearby, those along the river around Kidwelly Castle being especially beautiful. The castle is wonderfully preserved - definitely worth a visit. The location is also ideal for exploRead morering the wider area, especially the beautiful beaches - all dog friendly. A fantastic cottage which is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It is a really good base to visit surrounding areas, Saundersfoot, Pembrey Country Park is a must (8 mile beach), Bury Port, Carmarthen (good for shopping), Narberth is an attractive market town with places to eat and independent shops, can get busy so get there in good time. The location of this idyllic cottage was perfect for exploring south and west Wales. It was really comfortable and clean with lots of little nice touches (love the wooden mouse on the cupboard!!). A short walk to the town where the Old Moat House served fantastic food and beer and the Masons Arms became our temporary local! Lovely friendly people iRead moren both establishments.
