A short drive from Aberystwyth, in the heart of Cardigan Bay, with the sea, river and vibrant town. The town is full of historic sites, museums, galleries, shops and restaurants, not forgetting the beach, marina, cliff railway and Wales’ only silver mine visitor attraction. Within easy reach you can enjoy dramatic waterfalls, take a trip on the steam train with the Vale of Rheidol Railway, explore the woods and countryside or try one of the many water sports on offer. The front door opens in to the spacious lounge/diner with a stone feature fireplace, open fire, TV, exposed beams and dining table. Through the door ahead is the kitchen which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The period Welsh dresser is full of crockery for everyone to enjoy a meal together. Through the kitchen and into the hall you will find the ground floor separate WC and the small double bedroom with a 4' queen-size bed with TV and en-suite wet room with shower and WC. Walk back through into the lounge/diner and turn left to the games room with piano, table football and a pool table. Upstairs on the first floor you can choose from a further five bedrooms, the lovely double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room and WC, the large family room with a king-size bed and two additional single beds with TV and a spacious single bedroom. There is also a cosy double bedroom with TV and a further family bedroom with king-size bed and additional single bed with a walk in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room and WC. Enjoy a leisurely bath in the stylish bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Whatever the weather there is lots of space to enjoy a meal together, play board games, watch a film on the TV, maybe light the open fire, or test your skills in the games room.

Stepping outside, you can relax in the swim spa, read a book in the sun room or sit back in the enclosed garden with lawn area. There is also a covered gazebo, patio area with seating. Enjoy alfresco dining on the picnic benches or a morning coffee on the vista seating, unwind and embrace the fabulous uninterrupted countryside views from sunrise to sunset.

We had a lovely time with family and friends celebrating a 70th birthday. We found the cottage to be comfortable and well equipped. Our party consisted of 5 to 70 year olds and we all enjoyed our stay. The games room was great fun for all and the large hot tub excellent, especially late on when the kids were in bed. The cottage was reflective of the photo's, lovely location with far reaching views, lot's of Red Kites flying over the garden which was a bonus. Few things bit tired but didn't affect our stay or enjoyment. Kitchen really well stocked, great for us as we love to cook. Beds all comfortable, good nights sleep had by all. The water pressure fell on the first morning there, so no hot water, the owner responded straight away & a plumber fixed it within an hour - thank you. We had a great week at Heulwen House. The house was spotless upon arrival. The kitchen is very well equipped. 12 people, three generations, plenty of room for everyone. Enough parking for 5 cars. The kids loved the games room and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The garden is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the views. Everyone had a great time at the farmhouse with plenty of space and especially with the hot tub and games room and outside play area,would highly recommend for a family get together.

We had a great Christmas in Huelwen farmhouse and much appreciated the Christmas decorations! With 6 adults and 4 young children we found it well equipped, spacious, warm and comfortable. Overall, a well situated and very good property for a large group holiday. Comfortable seating, well equipped for cooking and dining and good range of entertainments especially pool table, play area and hot tub. Plenty of parking space. Red kites flew overhead several times during the week. Would benefit from improved lighting and windowcleaning.

Great location and property, plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out with plenty of equipment as was the games room , the garden was large and secure and again spotless. All in all a great cottage for a large group, I would definitely re book myself and recommend anyone else too.

This cottage had a lovely living room with really comfortable sofas. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything you needed. The games room and play area were wonderful for the children, the hot tube a bonus. Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs. We had 3 dogs, 5 kids and 8 adults, the cottage was plenty big enough and was a beautiful base fRead moreor our holiday. The only downside was some of the beds were uncomfortable. A fabulous farmhouse in a great location just minutes from Aberystwyth. Plenty of space for our family group of 12. The kitchen has plenty of crockery and utensils. Amazing hot tub, games room and fabulous big garden. We had a small issue when staying and the friendly owner was quick to rectify. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is perfect for all ages with lots to do , the games room and hot tub were a big hit with everyone . The garden and bbq area was also enjoyed . Great location close enough to all the amenities.

The Cottage is spacious, clean and very welcoming. The enclosed garden is very secure for both children and dogs, and the extra large hot tub was an amazing extra to the cottage. Great games room with lots to do. We had a lovely family holiday and the Welsh weather was extra kind to us. We would love to return in the future.
