Property code: OC-94159

This unique retreat occupies part of a Grade II listed converted chapel with a rich history. Originally built in 1796, rebuilt in 1818, enlarged in 1834, and renewed in 1857. After closing in 1974 and serving as a workshop, it fell into disrepair until 2020, when it was lovingly converted into four distinctive homes. Located on Chapel Street in the village of Llanarth, you're perfectly positioned just 3 miles from Cardigan Bay's stunning coastline and the renowned Wales Coast Path. The colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron (4 miles) beckons with its superb restaurants and legendary ice cream, whilst the delightful seaside town of New Quay (3 miles) offers beautiful beaches, dolphin spotting, and excellent fish and chips. Don't miss Llanerchaeron (4 miles), John Nash's impressive Georgian villa featuring walled gardens, farmyard, lake, and wild parkland.

Step inside this three-storey retreat through a light, airy hallway showcasing thoughtful décor throughout. Original beams frame painted stone walls, whilst tall windows enhance the building's character. The stylish kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with quality cookware, offering generous worktop space, good natural light, and a four-seater dining table. A contemporary shower room and practical utility room complete the ground floor. The first floor houses a comfortable lounge with inviting seating and a Smart TV. An original stone archway leads to a charming reading nook—the perfect spot for morning coffee, a good book, or simply unwinding whilst admiring the sunset. This floor also features a beautiful double bedroom with quality furnishings. The second floor reveals the spacious master bedroom alongside the main bathroom. Clochdy takes its name (meaning 'Bell House') from the chapel bell that once hung in what is now this master bedroom—a lovely connection to the building's past.

Your private garden sits tucked behind the chapel, featuring comfortable seating for sunny days. Access Clochdy via the side road, which leads to rear parking - with space for one car near the electric charging point (small additional fee applies).

This lovely property is in a perfect location to explore the Cardigan coast. Everything is top quality especially the lovely kitchen. It also has a little garden area. Stairs could be a challenge if you are not used to them. Very clean and comfortable.
