Nestled within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this lovely barn conversion offers couples or a family the best of both the Welsh coast and country. One of three cottages located on a farm at the end of a no-through road, peace and quiet is guaranteed in this rural setting. The pretty former fishing village of Little Haven is 2.5 miles away and can be reached by both road and footpath. The village is home to three welcoming local pubs and a glorious beach promising traditional seaside fun. Nearby Broad Haven (2.5 miles) is where you will find shops, cafes, and a huge sandy beach. Nature lovers should visit the puffin and Manx shearwater colonies on Skomer Island, with trips running from the Lockley Lodge Visitor Centre (9 miles). The small city of St David’s, with its stunning cathedral, is 17 miles north. A 22-mile drive east will take you to the colourful, picturesque town of Tenby, taking in estuary views as you cross the Cleddau Bridge along the way.

This former farm building has been tastefully converted and modernised whilst maintaining a rural feel. Enter via a hallway with storage space for coats and boots and find that the lounge/diner is full of rustic charm. Attractive exposed stone walls, a high beamed ceiling and tiled floors sit alongside the farmhouse dining table, plush three-piece-suite and a warming wood burner. The well-appointed kitchen is small but perfectly formed to meet all your culinary needs. Two cosy bedrooms await, one with a king-size bed, the other a twin, and both with feature stone walls and plenty of character. The family bathroom can be found adjacent. A shared laundry room is located at the far end of the group of cottages with a token-operated washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside, the cottage benefits from a private enclosed garden with a patio and gravelled area, and a good-sized lawn beyond. Garden furniture is provided for outdoor dining. Guests also have access to the surrounding farmland and a shared landscaped garden with a pond.

Spotlessly clean and very warm, with loads of hot water and a fabulous shower. We had a lovely week in Vine Cottage, and the garden was great for playing with our two dogs, although we had to be mindful of the pond when playing ball! There is a smaller enclosed garden at the side of the cottage too. The kitchen had everything we needed and felt neRead morew. This was a truly lovely cottage, immaculate, attractive and so comfortable. The garden area was convenient and tidy, secluded and with a quiet and pretty outlook. The whole setting of the house was tasteful and well maintained. The owner was very helpful in suggesting places to go, at my request, and we really appreciated finding beaches that were Read moreoff the beaten track. St David's and Tenby were also not far away as well as the famous Barafundle Bay. We loved the whole holiday. Hide
