Providing cosy and relaxing accommodation for four guests, this delightful cottage makes a great holiday base for couples and smaller families discovering a stunning corner of South Wales. Mumbles has a wealth of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, with a lovely beach and a historic, beautifully refurbished pier. The property is less than half a mile from the 12th-century Oystermouth Castle, which hosts a range of regular events. Mumbles also marks the gateway to the spectacular Gower Peninsula, offering miles of breathtaking walks and bike trails, with landmarks and attractions including the Gower Heritage Centre, Weobley Castle, King Arthur’s Stone and Pennard Castle, all within 14 miles. The peninsula has some magnificent beaches, including Rhossili Bay, Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich Bay, all within 17 miles. Heading east, the vibrant city of Swansea (4.5 miles) is home to Plantasia, the Dylan Thomas Birthplace, Swansea Castle and Swansea Botanical Gardens.

A flight of external stone steps leads up to the cottage, which features a snug and welcoming, stylishly decorated lounge/diner. With a Smart TV, comfortable seating and a warming wood burner, the lounge is an ideal space to unwind in and also features a handy central dining table. A step up leads into the fully equipped and thoughtfully organised kitchen, which has plenty of storage space and worktops. Heading upstairs, you will find a refreshing family bathroom alongside three cosy bedrooms: a light and relaxing double with a Smart TV, and two sweet and cosy single rooms. From the second single bedroom, a door opens out onto a lovely, enclosed balcony with a picturesque view out across Mumbles and towards the bay.

Heading outside, the enclosed back garden has a split-level patio with outdoor furniture & BBQ with unobstructed views across Swansea Bay, providing stunning sunrises. On-street parking in the surrounding streets is subject to availability. For keen cyclists, the kitchen has space to free store two/three bikes &/or camping gear.

We had a really great stay. Everything was perfect. Maybe we could have wished for a sofa or kitchen table by the garden door, so we could enjoy the views even more. But in short great place!
