This is our third year in a row staying at Church View House, which probably tells you most of what you need to know. It works brilliantly for a big family group - there's genuine space for everyone without feeling on top of each other and the off road parking is a bonus as the road can get busy with other cars. It's worth being honest that the Read morefurniture, beds and equipment are on the practical side rather than luxury, comfortable enough, and everything you need is there. It's a solid family home rather than anything flashy and that suits us perfectly well. Location-wise, Killay is a quiet village so you're not going to stroll to the Mumbles or into Swansea from here. Both are about 1520 minutes in the car. For us that's absolutely fine and part of the appeal, but if you want to be able to walk everywhere, it's something to factor in. You can get down to the bay through the Clyne Valley which is a lovely walk or bike ride (about 2 miles - beware of the hill on the way back up!). We'd recommend Pixie Cakes and the Allotment Cafe for lunch or great coffee and cake. There's two Co-ops within a 5 minute walk as well as a lovely chippy. We'll be back again next year! Hide

Lovely house with four bathrooms. Well presented and very clean. Delightful private terrace overlooking rear garden. Twenty / thirty mins drive to a choice of fine beaches, and close to Mumbles, and to Swansea centre.

We loved this spacious house. On arrival it had been cleaned to a high standard and smelt really fresh and new. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Dunvant so it's ideally located to visit them. The only criticism is the beds in both back bedrooms. Our daughter said hers wasn't very comfortable and we didn't think ours was either, I guess that's pRead moreersonal preference though. Lovely property in good location. Property is very well specified accept for the sofas and armchairs which appear to have been bought second hand as they are all very well worn and shabby. The property sleeps 8 but there are no spare rubbish bags or washing up utensils/washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets provided. There were also no spare toilet rRead moreolls. When we arrived the patio doors were wide open allowing the torrential rain to flood into kitchen, the loft hatch was also open and the cat flap was smashed we were obviously worried that a break in had occurred. We had to contact the booking company central phone number and were asked what we wanted done about these issues as if we should have sorted them out ourselves. The maintenance man was called and arrived promptly but I was made to feel as if I was a nuisance by the call handler. Hide

We've just returned from our second stay at Church View House and had another great week. We are originally from Swansea, so although Killay is a bit more residential and a car is needed to get around, that suits us just fine! The house is a generous size, with spaces to suit being together or finding your own space and the huge garden was perfect Read morefor enjoying the late sunshine. Although basic, the house has all the crockery and cutlery you might need. The bedrooms are clean and comfy and the various bathrooms very useful for larger groups. There's parking for three cars and shops within walking distance, would highly recommend Pixie Cakes for a sweet treat and Killay Spice for a lovely takeaway. Overall, the house is just what we need to host and visit family from the area and we really enjoy staying there, we'll be booking again for next year! Hide

Lovely airy property. Well equipped and central for everywhere on Gower. Great to have the patio area or just to be able to open the bi-fold doors to let the outside in.

Very clean, bright and comfortable house with a large garden and views. In a good location for travel, if Killay is not particularly attractive, it is convenient. Cottage is spacious and fairly clean, views must be nice as we couldn't enjoy but had a little look in the morning and left for graduation at 9.30am. we booked it for two nights but checked out at 19:15 on the second day. It is good for 4 or 5 people or 4 couples depending on the need.

Excellent property and brilliantly located to explore the Gower and Swansea area! Fantastic property all round. So much space, although the living room was quite small for the size of the property. The bedrooms were excellent, two with en-suites which was a god-send. Property was very clean and plenty of equipment in the kitchen, with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and washing machine in the separate utility room. Having a fuRead morerther shower and toilet off the utility room was a bonus! The garden was huge with a patio and patio furniture with gas bbq. It's just a shame the weather wasn't good enough to sit out there. The only thing we weren't keen on was the bi-fold doors. Very heavy and were advised not to open them if it was too windy. Not terribly safe with two children in our party. All in all though a fantastic property with lots of space, 4 bedrooms, 2 with en-suites and a separate bathroom. Centrally located for Swansea and the Gower and close to local shops and pubs. If you are considering eating in The Black Boy, I would book as it gets very busy. Would definitely recommend this property. Hide
