For a relaxed holiday with friends and family in the Welsh countryside, book a stay at this traditional cottage in the delightful Gwaun Valley. You’ll find plenty of walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area, weaving through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. If the sea calls, head to the pretty coastal town of Fishguard 5.5 miles away, with its harbour and old fort. Newport, a small town with a dune-backed sandy beach, is 5 miles from the property.
On the ground floor of this lovely house, there’s a cosy lounge. This spacious room has sofas, a Smart TV plus DVD, video and CD players, as well as a pretty feature fireplace. French doors from here lead out to the patio. There are two rooms for meal preparation: the kitchen-diner has an oil-fired Rayburn cooker as well as a dining table and chairs for eight. The large utility room is equipped with all the other kitchen appliances, including an electric cooker and hob. Also on the ground floor you’ll find the master bedroom, a double room with an en-suite bathroom. Stairs from the lounge lead up to a landing with a skylight for an airy feel. There are two triple bedrooms, each featuring lovely gable walls, and a roomy family bathroom with a corner bath for indulgent soaks after action-filled days.
Head down some stone steps from the lounge to reach a patio with a round picnic table. Behind a pretty wall there’s also a large lawn area.
