A contemporary home from home amidst cosmopolitan Mumbles, this property does traditional seaside holidays with lots of style. Families and friends will love a day out at one of the many spectacular sandy beaches close by, with bays like Three Cliffs just a 7-mile drive away. Explore the caves at low tide and discover what lurks in the rock pools when the tide is out. Adventure lovers may opt for some surfing a bit further afield at the well-known Rhossili Bay, 17 miles. There are also mountain bike trails with stunning views across the dunes at Rhossili for those wanting to get active on dry land. Closer to home, the imposing Oystermouth Castle up on the hill above the Mumbles is never far from view and is worth a visit for its fascinating Norman history and breathtaking vistas. For a bit of old-fashioned seaside fun, the Victorian pier is less than a mile away and it also hosts a fascinating Lifeboat Station.

Step into this contemporary home from a traditional Victorian seaside street, and you will be amazed at how spacious and modern it feels. The lounge has big bay windows pouring in light, and some beautiful period features like the Victorian fireplace. Old and new are perfectly mixed with slick modern interior design. A comfy sofa is hard not to sink into and the room is a wonderful spot for everyone to gather and catch up on the day’s adventures. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has ample space and the large dining table is a great place to sit and socialise. Lots of windows give the room a lovely airy feel. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom has a floor-to-ceiling bay window with a dressing table in front, and a comfortable and inviting bed. There is an en-suite shower room, perfect for a refresh after a day at the beach. The double rooms both have ample floor space and one has a wardrobe, while one has desk space. The compact bunk bedroom continues the fresh colour scheme. The bathroom is spacious and offers a large walk-in shower as well as a beautiful big bath, great for a warm soak after a day in the great outdoors. A utility room is a useful extra area on this floor and where you will find the washing machine and dryer. On the top floor, in the eaves, is a double bedroom with a view over the rooftops below. There is an en-suite shower room and this floor has a wonderfully private feel.

Head outside through the patio doors to discover a delightful split-level terrace/patio area, ideal for hosting a sociable dinner alfresco. Groups and families will love the large outdoor dining table and chairs, with ample space for everyone in a sheltered spot.

Great family home in good position, generally all very good, second time to stay at this property. There were a few age related issues which we emails the rental company about on the first day but they did not respond. I would say the owners would be grateful for the detail and would resolve to keep the property in top condition, hopefully the rentRead moreal company have informed them as it would be unfair on the owners to keep these age related issues ongoing. If these issues were resolved this would be one of the best rentals out there for the price and would be highly recommended Hide

Great house in a fantastic location - minutes away from the shops, bars, etc on the main street and within walking distance to the harbour and Langland bay, really appreciated not having to take the car out to find a beach! House is well equipped, beds are comfy and lounge is spacious enough for our family of five with grown up children, not somethRead moreing we find very often. We paid for a week's pass in the public car park 2-3 streets away (25) which took the stress away from finding a parking spot, money well spent and for us was offset by the proximity to everything locally, as some days we didn't need the car anyway. This is our second stay here, and if we go back again would definitely return to the same property. Hide

Fantastic stay at this property, clean, well equipped and in a quiet location VERY close to the town centre. We had virtually no opportunity to park on the street, even with a visitor pass I don't think it would have been possible, but there is a public car park close by where you can purchase a weekly pass for 15 and it was half empty every time wRead moree used it. We are thinking about returning to the area next year and will definitely look to book this property again, many thanks. Hide

I would recommend this property. Ty Seren is a lovely, roomy, modern house. The house is just a short walk away from the shops, bars and restaurants in Mumbles. The house is also well situated to explore the Gower coastline, which is simply stunning.
