Set in a popular, small complex of similar properties less than 500m from the beach in Saundersfoot, this first-floor apartment is ideal for couples or a family who wish to explore this charming part of the south Pembrokeshire coast. In Saundersfoot itself you can enjoy the wide, sandy beach, walk along the coast path, learn to paddleboard, take a sea safari to spot dolphins, seals, porpoises and sea birds, or go on a fishing trip to catch mackerel, bass or even shark. There are lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs here, too, while in Tenby, just 3.5 miles away, there are four further great beaches and plenty more shops and places to eat and drink. The National Trust’s Colby Woodland Garden is 4.5 miles away, a secret spot for a walk and a picnic, and the Dinosaur Park Tenby – great fun for the young ones – is 3.5 miles. Not to be missed are Pembroke Castle, one of Britain’s finest castles, 12 miles, and Picton Castle, a 13th century castle with beautiful gardens and grounds, 15.5 miles.

The spacious lounge of the apartment is open-plan to a dining space and kitchen area, an L-shaped room that is illuminated by a wall of glazed doors that lead onto the balcony. Comfortable and functional, it has good-looking wood flooring, a pair of contemporary sofas, a pretty dining table and chairs, and a painted, Shaker-style kitchen with built-in appliances. There are two bedrooms, one a compact but bright double with a large, built-in wardrobe, and the other a family room with a double and single bed side by side. The stylish bathroom has lovely tiles and a shower over the bath.

From the lounge you can access a glazed balcony that runs the length of the apartment and has comfortable outdoor seating. Facing south-west, it enjoys views towards Saundersfoot Bay.

Comfortable apartment in a good location. Very child friendly and quiet at night. The beach is only a short distance away from the beach ( 5 minutes walk) and has a beautiful view of Monkstone point from the balcony.

Nice flat in a great location. Loved the open-plan living space and the balcony is a huge plus with a lovely view. Beds are comfortable. Overall, a nice property and wed be more than happy to stay again.

Overall Footsteps is a great apartment in a good location and at a competitive price. However, it is let down by presentation and attention to detail. For instance the bed linen was musty, not because it hadn't been washed but had probably been put away damp, therefore we had to wash and dry before use. The bathroom and kitchen floor not cleaned thRead moreoroughly, grit and hairs found. Vacuum cleaner just left in living room. Wardrobes were not empty. Curtains were broken. Surprised recycling bag was not already in bin plus a bag in the food waste caddy would also be good. Hide
