Arrange a gathering of family or friends by the seaside at this detached, three-storey cottage sleeping 12. In the centre of Port Eynon village, it has gift shops, pubs, cafes and watersports hire on the doorstep. Found 120 metres from the bay, the location is ideal for those wishing to try surfing or wild swimming, and with lifeguard cover during peak season and safe, shallow waters, it’s perfect for kids to paddle. From here you can follow paths to walk the gorgeous coast of South Wales — 2 miles east to Slade Bay, or 0.5 miles west to the viewpoint of Culver Hole, and beyond. Climbers visiting the area will enjoy Boiler Slabs, just over 1 mile away, offering ascents for varying abilities. And those wishing to uncover the area’s history should head inland to the Gower Heritage Centre, along with the ruins of Pennard Castle (8 miles).

Entering the ground floor, the lounge has an L-shaped leather sofa, a TV and DVD player, a stereo with an iPod dock and a wood burner for cosy, convivial evenings together. A dining room fit for a banquet is furnished with a table with leather chairs for 12, a wood burner and double doors into the rear garden. The kitchen — also with a door to the garden — is well equipped for cooking, while laundry activities are kept separate, in a garden utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a drinks fridge. On the first floor is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC, two doubles, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath, shower and a WC. The top floor comprises two single bedrooms (both with a desk/dressing table) and a shower room with WC.

Enclosed by a stone wall and wooden fencing, the lawned rear garden has a path leading to an apex wooden gazebo at its end. This provides privacy and shelter for guests to indulge in some pampering hydrotherapy in the hot tub.

Driving back I found that that I was not looking forward to getting home so much as I usually do at holidays end. I felt that I was leaving something behind, something that I would miss. Im gonna have to go back. Thanks for a really great holiday

We all had an amazing time. The cottage was well kept and very comfortable. The beds were also comfortable. We absolutely loved it and would definitely visit again. The location was great to have a dip in the sea and pub food on one occasion close by. The cottage was very cosy and warm and we loved the hot tub! Jitu the manager was very helpful.
