Whisk your other half away to this couple's cottage in a charming pastoral setting, yet just 0.5 miles from amenities. The long sands and dunes of Oxwich Bay lie 0.7 miles from the farm — a lovely walk, on which you’ll pass a wooded hill with a Tudor Grade I-listed castle. Sea conditions make the bay a popular spot for surfing in the winter months and there are great cafes and restaurants for meals out together. From the beach, you can join the rugged coast path and hike around the headland taking in the dramatic scenery. To experience more of the Gower Area of Natural Beauty, drive 4.4 miles west, to the village of Port Eynon, and further to the National Trust Rhossili and South Gower Coast, where you’ll find Devil’s Bridge and the Worm’s Head Causeway (8 miles). Or venture 4 miles west of the local beach, to reach the stunning Three Cliffs Bay — a marvellous choice for a picnic.
The property has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, with two sofas allowing you both to spread out while watching a film on the TV. Enjoy sea views across the fields through the patio doors. Tuck into tasty home-cooked meals at the dining table in the kitchen area. A king-size bedroom has direct access to the shower room and WC.
Patio doors from the living space open out onto an outside area which has rattan furniture on a gravel area, with grass leading down to the field beyond. Sit and sip a glass of wine beneath the stars, or eat alfresco meals as you watch the sunset over the sea.
