Mumbles Hill Nature Reserve is under a mile away, and is home to wonderful local wildlife and relics from World War II, with breathtaking views from the top of the hill. The Hill Reserve Circular route is great for hiking, fishing and mountain biking. Mumbles Pier (0.5 miles) is one of Swansea’s oldest and most famous landmarks. Mumbles is both cosy and cosmopolitan, with its luxury boutiques and handmade crafts, delightful eateries and arguably the best ice cream in the world. Oystermouth Castle (1.5 miles) has fabulous views of Swansea Bay.
Inside the cottage, you’ll find a charming interior, in keeping with the secluded location. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a double sofa bed, an electric fire and a TV. Patio doors give access to the garden and provide extra light. The streamlined kitchen flows well around the dining table for four, and has more garden views. Completing the interior is the double bedroom, with its lovely oak bed and twin bedside tables and lamps, and a shower room.
The small private garden has a patio area with a wooden bench, a lawn surrounded by mature planting and a useful shed for storing bicycles and beach equipment. Lovely views extend south and east towards the sea and Mumbles Lighthouse.
