Set amid peaceful gardens away from the road, this charming, detached cottage offers superb views over Three Cliffs Bay and access to some of the most beautiful walks on the Gower Peninsula. Behind is Cefn Bryn, a 5-mile ridge of common land offering wildlife, archaeological sites and stunning views, while the Wales Coast Path and the Gower Way can be picked up nearby. Beach lovers will find many options too, with Three Cliffs Bay (1 mile), Tor Bay (1 mile) and Oxwich Bay (2.5 miles) all within easy reach. The Gower Peninsula has plenty of surprises for history enthusiasts including King Arthur’s Stone (3 miles) and Pennard Castle (2.5 miles), and if you want to get active the region is great for surfing and paddleboarding.
Located at the top of a landscaped Victorian garden, this single-storey cottage is approached up a set of steps, and has a cosy and welcoming feel throughout. The lounge/diner is a light, bright room with large windows and patio doors with lovely sea views. Snuggle up on the sofa with a good book or a film after a long walk, warming your toes next to the wood burner on chilly days. Next door, the fitted kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals at home, while down the corridor there’s a comfortable double bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating.
A small patio in front of the cottage offers a private space to sit with a cuppa and enjoy the view, while guests can wander around the walled Victorian garden and pond, which is shared with the owners and one other holiday cottage.
