Sitting in the unspoiled village of Llanmadoc, it offers stunning views across the Pembrokeshire coastline and the Preseli Mountains. Pack a picnic and spend a glorious day at Rhossili Bay Beach (9 miles). At the southern end of the beach, you’ll find the tidal island of Worm's Head, which you can walk to during two hours either side of low tide. Keep your eyes peeled for grey seals. Or head to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust’s Llanelli Wetland Centre (14.5 miles) to explore 450 acres of rare wetland and visit the Caribbean flamingos. If you’re feeling a little livelier, head to Pembrey Country Park (23.5 miles) to try out the longest toboggan slide in Wales.

Step inside to discover a chic interior dusted with pretty period features. Make yourself at home by the wood burner in the lounge, or take a little time chilling out in the sitting area. Apart from the above, it was cosy and great that it had a smart TV. Lots of equipment in the kitchen - arguable to much cutlery (20 each of knives and forks). Crockery the same - perhaps a whole set of 6 each of white plates of different sizes - it seemed a mish mash of everything.

We arrived at the cottage during Storm Bert and it was a little cold as there was no heating on. We lit the fire and put the heaters on and it was soon cosy. The Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, and it feels like you are staying in a home rather than a holiday rental. We didn't use the garden due to the weather, but it is a lovely sRead moreelf enclosed space with ample seating. The area is a walker's paradise and we didn't use the car throughout our stay. The pub was open all week and the Community Shop every day apart from Sunday, so we were well served with everything we needed. A tip for unloading your car - if you park temporarily at the top of the track when unloading, it's a downhill walk to the cottage. And if you car is at the bottom of the track at the end of the holiday, its also a downhill walk. Hide

Lovely property and an amazing location. Very well appointed. Much easier to park at the bottom of the road than attempting to drive and up turn.
