An enchanting, one-bedroom annexe, this holiday home is ideal for a couple or small family seeking to get away from it all. Set behind Pwll Du Beach, near Bishopston, on the Gower Peninsula, it is one of just two properties in this secluded setting. Sleeping up to four guests, it may also be booked with the adjoining, three-bedroom cottage, providing combined accommodation for up to 14 guests. Pack a picnic and amble less than 500 metres to the beach, where you can swim, surf and paddle. Pobbles Bay, 2 miles away, is another of the Gower’s picturesque beaches where you can spend time together on the sand. Head into Mumbles, 7 miles away, to peruse the shops and dine out.

The annexe offers an inviting, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a stone inglenook fireplace and wood burner to light on chilly days. Play games, watch TV or simply enjoy some quiet time with your book. There is a sofa bed in here for two extra guests. The generous kitchen area features the dining table, which makes the most of the light-filled corner of the living space. Follow the spiral staircase up to the first floor, which leads to a colourful double bedroom, with a desk and doors on to the balcony. A Jack and Jill shower room can be accessed from the bedroom and landing.

Lose yourselves in the sea views when you relax out on the large balcony. Dine out here too and have a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the sea.

Ships Cottage Annexe is a wonderful place. The location is outstanding, right by the sea, woodland walks and a tiny meadow with a stream. The cottage itself is comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. We had kind weather and were able to make good use of the balcony with its wonderful views. Be prepared, the shops are not handy, but we lovedRead more that fact. Hide

I loved this place. Comfortable and relaxing. The hosts were available if needed, but otherwise you have complete privacy. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Had a lovely stay at this fantastic location. The Annex of Ship Cottage was great for the two of us and our dog had a fabulous time running on the beach. It was comfortable and cosy and had everything that we needed. Each night we fell asleep listening to the waves on the shore, and awoke to beautiful views. Thoroughly recommended.(You will need a Read moregood 4x4 or a lift down the track from the owners- all part of the charm!) Hide
