Switch off and recharge in this fabulous cottage in Port Eynon on the Gower Peninsula. The property sleeps four guests and is perfect for small families, as well as couples, who are looking for a slice of tranquillity at Gower’s most southerly spot. The village has a lovely, community spirit and has a good selection of restaurants, many serving local seafood, and a number of fish and chip shops and cosy pubs. Spend lazy afternoons on the sweeping, golden sands of Port Eynon Bay, just 200 metres from the cottage, sharing a picnic, building sandcastles, and swimming in the sea. A path leads from here and takes you high onto the headland to Port Eynon Point. This is a wild and rugged walk, offering spectacular views toward Rhossili Bay and Oxwich Point. Rhossili Bay (5.5 miles) is a must for the itinerary during your holiday. The 3-mile stretch of fine, golden sand is one of Gower’s most iconic beauty spots, and is a haven for surfers, walkers, and sun-seekers. Even in the height of summer, it's easy to escape the crowds and find a quiet place to unwind.
The ground floor of the property has an open-plan layout comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. Comfortable reclining sofas are nestled around a TV/DVD and there is a cosy flame-effect gas fire to warm your toes in front of on chilly evenings. The kitchen area has been cleverly designed to include everything necessary to cook for the group, and there is a large dining table overlooking the garden to seat all four guests. A handy washing machine/dryer is located in the downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs, you’ll find two inviting bedrooms – a king-size and twin - decorated in calm tones, with flashes of blue and turquoise to reflect the surrounding landscape. Both bedrooms have TVs, for relaxing mornings in bed, and en-suite facilities.
French doors lead from the dining room to the garden. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed space with a lawn where children and four-legged guests can play, along with a patio and outdoor furniture for dining in the sunshine in the summer months.
