Enjoy a quiet getaway with friends or family at this roomy yet cosy cottage in the sleepy village of Port Eynon. Ideally located, it’s 350 metres from a safe and sandy bay, where there’s the opportunity to try various watersports, swim and walk the coast path of the Gower Peninsula. Travel 6 miles west to Devil’s Bridge (taking in Therba Head and Fall Bay en route), where you can cross the causeway to Worms Head at low tide; the walk to the limestone headland is unforgettable, with dramatic scenery. Visit the 14th-century fortified manor house, Weobley Castle, overlooking the Llanrhidian salt marches (7.5 miles) and King Arthur’s Stone, a prehistoric 25-ton capstone atop Cefn Bryn Common (4.7 miles).

The ground floor rooms are accessed via the cottage’s entrance hallway. With a wood burner, plasma TV and iPod dock, the lounge is the ideal space for a movie night or some music while you chat and has French doors onto the garden, allowing light to flood in. Integrated appliances in the kitchen/diner create a streamlined look, with a table and chairs for meals together. The utility room, set up for laundry, is accessed from the kitchen, as is the downstairs shower room and WC. Upstairs is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC, a twin bedroom and a single, as well as the main bathroom.

The walled gardens wrap the entire circumference of the property, with a pathway and a manicured lawn ideal for children and a dog to play. A dining set and parasol cater for alfresco meals enjoying the sunny outlook. And an electric car charging point is provided on the driveway.

The property is very nice & comfortable. Very well equipped & a stones throw away from The Ship Inn which serves excellent food but a little too expensive.

This property was by far the best equipped Self Catering holiday I/we have ever had. The house was cosy and comfortable with all needs met. Our dog felt safe and secure in the enclosed garden. The location in relation to the beach was great and also the local pub was really welcoming. Would definitely recommend! 10 out of 10!

Fantastic location! A really lovely house with a private drive and a garden. Bright and airy with what looks like brand new furniture in the sitting room. A well appointed kitchen and a separate utility room which was so useful. We had a wonderful holiday and very much hope to stay again in the future. I highly recommend this house.

This was a first class property which we would highly recommend. Ideally situated close to the dunes for walking the dog and close to the Ship Inn for excellent food. The cottage offered everything we wanted. Five stars without a doubt.

Excellent cottage, perfect location in the very centre of Porteynon. Very comfortable, all facilities (apart from a couple of outdoor chairs). We had our dog with us so the secure garden was ideal. Would recommend to anyone.
