This four-bedroom villa in Mumbles, Swansea Bay, is ideally located for families wanting both peace and tranquillity yet easy access to the town and beach. Mumbles village boasts boutique shops, restaurants, and popular ice cream parlours. It also features a Victorian pier, an 18th-century lighthouse, and the Norman castle at Oystermouth. Cyclists and pedestrians can enjoy the 5-mile seafront promenade that stretches around the bay to Swansea Marina while beach-lovers can head to Rotherslade Bay, 0.5 miles away. If you fancy a spot of surfing, try the adjacent beach at Langland Bay. Mumbles marks the beginning of the Gower Peninsula’s coastline and hikers can pick up the Wales Coast Path from the village and enjoy scenic walks, including the 12.5-mile hike along cliff paths and beaches to Three Cliffs Bay.

Distributed over three floors, the interiors are simple with whitewashed walls, and pleasant furnishings throughout. On the ground floor, there’s a comfortable lounge with sofas, a TV, and a beautiful bay window that drenches the room in natural light. From the lounge, neutral tones sweep through to the open-plan kitchen and living area. An arched ceiling leads from the kitchen to a neat lounge where you can relax on the sofa and catch up on some holiday reading. Additional comforts include a wood burner-effect electric fire in the lounge and underfloor heating in the kitchen. Adjacent to the lounge is a spacious alcove where the whole family can congregate and enjoy a meal at the table seating eight people. There’s also a convenient shower room on this floor. Stairs lead from the ground floor to the first floor where three of the bedrooms are located. Featuring a king-size bed, a double bed, and a bunk bed, the rooms are a good size and beautifully decorated. There’s also a bathroom on this floor. A staircase leads to the second floor where the remaining bedroom is located. Featuring twin beds and a built-in wardrobe, the Velux windows drench the room in natural light and make it a wonderfully soothing space.

Back on ground level, the outside area is equally serene. The split-level garden is dotted with potted plants and greenery, and has a shady spot where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks.

Great location for visiting shops, beaches, cafes & castle. Parking permits required on 3/4s of the road makes parking difficult & its quite steep so tricky for grandma to walk up/down. Well equipped house & a good size. We didnt need the twin beds in the attic, then bunk beds & 2 double rooms on first floor. A lounge & a lounge-dining-kitchen, 2 bRead moreath/shower rooms. Not enough to do in the area for a full week with kids if the weather isnt good enough for lots of beach time, though the castle is worth a visit. Hide

We had the loveliest of times at the property! 15 Mins walk to beautiful beaches The mumbles restaurants and promenade just a short walk away. The Accomadations has all the mod cons you could wish for! Looks small from the front but all the rooms are massive inside and very well laid out living space, comfortable and relaxing! bedrooms lovely! KiRead moretchen and kitchen utility room superb! Dining room a great space. We will definitely be back! Felt like a home from home! Could bot think of a thing wrong! 100%- 5-Star Stay! Hide
