If you are looking for a beach cottage with free parking this is it! The location is great and being able to walk to the Gower is a massive bonus. The cottage is well equipped as others have said. That said, if you are coming with a pet, I would not recommend. We came with our dog and paid and extra 25 for this although I am not sure what that Read more25 goes towards as pets are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. This isn't stated anywhere before you arrive which it should do as it's not clear when booking that this is the case. We also left our dog for a couple of hours in the house while we went to a restaurant in Mumbles for a meal. When we returned we had 3 notes in the door and on our car from the neighbour - telling us we were shameful to leave our dog as she had been howling. Together with the neighbour and the issue of pets only being allowed on the floor downstairs - I would not recommend this cottage to anyone whose pet isn't used to being on their own at night or on the floor and might howl if left alone for any length of time. It's a shame that this holiday was marred by the neighbour being unwilling to just talk to us and instead leaving notes and also then watching us as we left the cottage from her window every time we went out - probably making sure we had our dog with us. We did have a good time though as Mumbles is lovely and the beaches are so beautiful in the Gower that if the weather is dry you're spoiled for things to do. Hide

A lovely house in a great location to explore the many beaches. The rooms are a good size and it had everything except a freezer, which broke down the day we were due to arrive and wasn't replaced that week as we were told. It's two minutes walk from the Mumbles seafront and town, so you don't have to take the car everywhere. The town has a wide raRead morenge of shops and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the promenade, or walk along the beach at low tide. The picture of the road is quite deceiving as it doesn't show how steep the hill is, but it's easier if you cut through the churchyard. Also, check there is nobody coming down before you drive up as it's not one way! The garden isn't really a garden, it's a yard with table and chairs and a hot tub, which was of no interest to us. I thought there was a further lawned area beyond the screen, but it's the garden for the house at the back. I would rather have had a lawn area than a hot tub. The property is marked as dog friendly, but it's more 'dogs tolerated' as they are not allowed on the furniture, the throws or upstairs. My dog is family and it's his holiday as much as ours, so he should be as comfortable as he is at home. We always take our own throws with us, as do a lot of dog owners. Banning dogs from the furniture is like banning kids, who often make more mess. Describing it as dog friendly attracts more people, but I wouldn't stay there again because of this. I would recommend it to people who don't have a dog and can climb hills. The close proximity to the town and promenade was why we chose it. Hide

Lovely little holiday home so close to mumbles sea front and close walk to the pier. Hot tub was fantastic and so relaxing after long days out. Beds super comfy and bathroom towels and linen very clean. A couple of bits of furniture in garden could do with an upgrade but really didn't affect our stay at all. A lovely cottage in the heart of Mumbles. A short walk to the centre with lots of local amenities. The garden area is small but for a small house, we had plenty of room. The sofas and beds were comfortable and we would return.

A lovely spacious cottage, close to the shops and amenities and ideal for exploring the Gower and this part of Wales. It was clean and comfortable, and had most of what we needed, although kitchen was lacking a few bit of equipment (basin, sieve, casserole, steamer) for those doing their own catering.
