A charming cottage in the quiet village of Reynoldston, this enticing holiday home is a superb base for immersing yourselves in the beauty of the Gower Peninsula. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat sits at the centre of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just 2.5 miles away you’ll find spectacular Cefn Bryn, where you can see the prehistoric monument of King Arthur’s Stone and take in panoramic views. Plan days out to beautiful beaches, where you can swim, surf and play on the sand: try Oxwich Bay, 3 miles away, or Rhossili, 6 miles away. Drive 12 miles to enjoy a day out in the city of Swansea, with its water park, shops and leisure facilities.

Head up the pretty front garden path and into the inviting and cosy lounge. Stoke up the wood burner during the colder weather and watch a bit of TV from the comfy sofas. The characterful kitchen, with a breakfast bar and door leading to the garden, adjoins the dining area via an archway. A family bathroom is also downstairs. Venture up to the first floor, via the steep, narrow, cottage-style stairs, to the king-size and twin bedrooms. These rooms are one step up from the landing and enjoy great garden views.

Four steps lead up from the kitchen to the enclosed garden with lawn and patio - an ideal place for some relaxation and an al fresco meal when the weather is kind.

Firstly the location of the house is perfect for amazing beaches and a lovely pub in the village. However, the cottage needs a good clean and improvements. The downstairs toilet seat is broken and hanging off and the garden is unusable. The lawn hasnt been mowed in a long time and the hedges are overgrown. The decking is rotting, with wobbly steps Read moreand large cracks. The banister to the decking is wobbling and like to snap if any real weight was put on it. The paving area has sharpe broken tiles, with many weeds which is hardly appealing to sit amongst. Luckily our children are older, but having young children in the garden would be difficult. Not what I expect from a four star holiday home. I have contacted holiday cottages, but so far no reply. Hide

We loved the cottage, so quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately the Internet was down on arrival and it took until the Wednesday to resolve the problem. We accepted a 20% refund for all the inconvenience and hassle. Such a shame as otherwise it would have been great.

It was really refreshing to stay in a dog friendly cottage that was indeed dog friendly ! We were trusted enough to respect the house, no notices saying don't do this or that.

The cottage was situated in a lovely fairly rural location close to a pub, local shop and within a short drive of various sandy beaches which our two dogs loved. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Overall the cottage was cosy and we enjoyed our stay in this lovely area that we know very well. We contacted the agency about the upstairs toilet and they were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property but it really needs some TLC in all rooms before I would recommend, and having a decent hoover would help too.

Beautiful location and local pub/hotel in walking distance The cottage lacked cleanliness. However well equipped with a beautiful log burner and heating system which kept the cottage warm especially at this time of year.

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Robin Cottage. Found it to be a very comfortable and welcoming cottage with plenty of space and adequately stocked with all the items needed to make your stay home from home. The decking in the rear garden does get very slippery when wet, so care is needed, but our dog enjoyed the safe and secure garden. Reynoldston is a piRead morecturesque and peaceful village, with a great pub and village shop. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy all that The Gower has to offer with nothing in the region more than a 20 minute drive away. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit. Hide

Two ceiling lights and one lamp didnt have bulbs. The upstairs toilet was broken and although reported in the first night it was not repaired during our stay. Two of four cups were chipped. Towel rail not fitted correctly Some rot in bathroom near shower. The location makes up for a lot, overall it was comfortable.

The cottage is in a great location, but poor cleanliness and maintenance really let it down. We arrived to dog hair covering all the carpets both upstairs and down, a full bin, dirty kitchen surfaces, bed not made, black mould around the bath, light bulb missing, a broken towel holder and an overgrown garden with large weeds through the patio (not Read morelike the photo at all!) The kitchen chairs were also in a poor state and one collapsed when one of our party sat down. A real shame Hide
