This fabulous cabin is perfect for a special couples’ getaway in a unique setting. The cabin is set on a working farm amidst the undulating countryside of West Wales. There is one other cabin and three small camping pods on the site, so the gardens and amenities are shared with guests staying in these. The farm is in a Dark Sky zone well away from light pollution, so it is a peaceful place to unwind. The beautiful Cardigan Bay is just 6 miles away with many beaches dotted along the coastline. The little seaside town of New Quay is 7 miles away with its sandy beach, water sports and pretty harbour. Boat trips head out in search of visiting dolphins and it is often possible to see them from the shore too. The town has several good restaurants, some useful shops and friendly local pubs. The handsome Georgian town of Aberaeron is 8 miles from the cabin with its array of restaurants, cafes and shops. The whole area offers good walking opportunities both along the coast and inland.

Up a few steps, the elevated cabin has been cleverly designed to provide a unique glamping/observatory experience. This solar-powered cabin offers a unique opportunity to fully disconnect, as it is free from TV and WiFi, allowing you to immerse yourself completely in nature and enjoy the peaceful countryside. Guests can lie in their cosy bed at night, warmed by the electric fire, and the entire roof lifts up and away revealing clear views of the night sky. There is very little light pollution here and the stargazing is quite magical. Guests can spot shooting stars from their pillows and then drift off to sleep in peace and tranquillity. The cabin is petite with a comfortable sofa that easily transforms into a double bed. The compact kitchenette has two electric hobs, a sink and a fridge for preparing simple meals. The en-suite shower room also opens to the sky on demand!

The private outside deck is set up with a fire pit and table and chairs. This is just the spot for enjoying your morning coffee overlooking the lake and countryside. Guests share access to the boating lake with the handful of other guests staying at the farm. There is also shared access to a covered cooking area featuring a pizza oven and table and chairs. As well as this, there is an additional area with a microwave, kettle and fridge, and a laundry/games room with a freezer and secure bike storage. You can enjoy a relaxing soak in the shared hot tub, just a short walk from the cabin, with bookable slots available upon arrival.

Really well designed and laid out hut with everything you need if you're sensible. Great location too. Being able to open the hut roof to the night sky is truly brilliant.

Sky hut is amazing to stay in but the roof opens a bit noisily so we felt we couldn't open and close as we wanted to in the early hours when the clearer skies were there as it may have woken other guests/children in the glamping pods.

We loved our stay in your cottage, the fact there was no WiFi or signal was very wholesome and waking up to the donkeys was very cute :)

Great little place, very rural as expected. Accommodation was comfortable, hot tub with a view was great, nice lake and cute donkeys!

The cleanliness did let the hut down. All around needed the the finishing touches to be looked at! The Hut and communal areas. We saw the owner once as he was very chatty and welcoming!

Such a dreamy weekend at the sky hut with the sounds of all the animals from geese to donkeys to sheep and all the other farm animals. I normally sleep with earplugs but loved listening to them throughout the night and waking up to the sound of the countryside. When I first booked the sky hut, I thought only of the stars at night but it was also idRead moreeal for the daytime. We had lovely weather but with quite a breeze so to be able to sit inside with the roof open was perfect! Although things could have been cleaner, the accommodation was worth the trip. The big negative was the hot tub. There was only one hot tub between the sky hut (2 people), the dragons eye (2 people), 2 families in the glamping pods (7 people) and two cottages (4 people). That was one hot tub between 15 people which is just unsanitary and unappealing - baring in mind there was also another pod not booked this weekend. The system for the hot tub was also a downside as everyone wanted to be in at the same time on an evening as they tended to leave the site throughout the day meaning it was always booked up. Also something to note is that the farm is within the site and of course, the smells carry so if you don't like strong farm smells, it's possible this isn't the stay for you! Hide

Everything was great and it was a really unique stay. We especially liked the welcome hamper provided by the host! It was great to go in spring as there were lambs in the field right next to our hut & the donkeys came over regularly which was cute. We liked that the hot tub was bookable but you have to do this as soon as you arrive as the other spaRead moreces were quickly filled up by the other pods. We felt there could have been a few more utensils (such as serving spoons) and the shower was quite difficult to get to the right temperature but other than that, a great stay! If youre planning on coming wed recommend bringing some blankets and mosquito spray as we found these meant we could keep the roof open longer! Hide
