Pendine, 18 miles away, is great for surfing and windsurfing and if you have kids in tow, head to the Blue Lagoon – the subtropical indoor water park that’s just 17 miles. Other quiet pastimes such as golf and fishing are also available – go river fishing on the River Twyi (1 mile) or hit a few balls at the Derylls Court parkland course – 9 miles.
