Families or groups with a pet will enjoy a stay at this bright, spacious detached holiday home that boasts sea views as it’s located directly opposite the beach in Amroth, on the scenic Pembrokeshire coast. The village has all you could need with shops, pubs and cafes. Travel a little further and you’ll reach seaside village Saundersfoot (3.5 miles) where there are seafood restaurants for big group dinners and a long, sandy beach with watersports like paddleboarding. Tenby (8.5 miles) is popular and picturesque with a historic, cobbled town and three beaches including South Beach that’s a mile and a half long, and the small sands by the boat-filled harbour that’s lined with colourful houses. Walkers will love the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, a scenic National Trail with spectacular sea views; while families with children can take a day trip to fun-filled Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (4.5 miles).

Walk up the path and take one step up into your modern house’s hallway, on the ground floor that’s reverse-level to take advantage of upstairs sea views. All bedrooms in the house are pleasant thanks to bright accessories. The ground floor has a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a second double with an en-suite shower room. There is a further bathroom which handily features both a bath and a shower cubicle. Head upstairs to the sociable first floor where you can cook group dinners in the large, bright kitchen as you admire the sea view through the room’s small window. This is a great socialising area thanks to the dining table and the couple of armchairs for further relaxation. Retire to the lounge - another lovely chill out spot - that’s peppered with bright accessories. Relax together across the plump sofas and enjoy the sea views through the wide windows. Take advantage of the DVD player and TV - from which you can log in to your Amazon or Netflix accounts - for film nights. The first-floor cloakroom with a WC will come in handy as you hang out together. Further bedrooms will be found upstairs on the second floor - a double and a twin - plus another WC in a cloakroom.

Enjoy the fresh seaside air from your patio area with garden furniture for al fresco relaxation. There’s a lawn too, which your dog may like, but be aware that it is not enclosed.

The house is in a fantastic location, which we love as we visit the area regularly, making it easy to access all the amenities. The views from the property are beautiful and definitely a highlight being across from the beach and within walking distance of stunning Colby Gardens. Inside, the comfort was generally good, with plenty of sofas and Read morea lovely bay window that was a big hit with everyone. However, the dining table was on the small side, it wasnt possible to fit 10 people around it, which was a bit limiting for group meals. Theres very little privacy in the garden (the trade off for the location) and the only umbrella for shade over the picnic benches at the front was very unstable so we didnt feel comfortable using it. It would be great if there were a safer, more secure option for shade. Drying space was another challenge. There was just one small indoor airer and nowhere outside to secure the rotary airer provided. With 10 people staying, drying towels and clothes was difficult especially as we noticed the neighbouring property had three airers, so there may have been some mix-up at some point. The ground-floor double room next to the front door is not a full-size double bed, so it was uncomfortable for two people and often the water would run cold when demand higher on showers (returning from the beach). Maintenance was needed during our stay, two twin beds had broken slats, so the occupants had to sleep on mattresses on the floor until a handyman could be arranged to fix these, along with the bathroom locks. However, this was arranged efficiently and no further repairs were needed. Overall, the location and views are lovely, and the living space is largely comfortable, but a few practical improvements would make a big difference, especially for larger groups. Hide

This house was brilliant for 3 generations of our family to visit with a perfect location over looking the beach. There were 10 of us and we had enough space for us all. We have visited this area lots of times over the years but have never stayed in Amroth and we loved it. The only negative was the house was not as clean as we would have hoped and Read morewe did have to do some cleaning when we arrived. There was not a welcome pack as advertised - definitely not a major thing but a nice touch when we were all looking forward to a cup of tea when we arrived after a long journey! Hide

A super location in a fine village - just opposite the beach and near the pub, very good access for elderly and good provisions for onsite car parking.
