This self-contained annexe is in a quiet area on the edge of Saundersfoot and, with its second bedroom, makes an ideal getaway for either a couple or two friends or relatives wishing to explore this lovely part of Pembrokeshire. In the charming village there is an array of gift shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, and plenty to see and do, with the flat, sandy beach being a main draw. From the picturesque harbour you can take a sea safari or go on a fishing trip – or simply watch the boats arriving and unloading their catch. Walk through the old railway tunnels to the tiny hamlet of Wisemans Bridge (1.5 miles), where there is a lovely pub right on the beach, or drive to the Victorian town of Tenby, 4.5 miles, where you will find four gorgeous beaches and more lovely shops and places to eat. From here, in summer you can also catch a boat for a day trip to the holy Caldey Island. Also not to be missed is a visit to Pembroke Castle, one of Britain’s finest, 11.5 miles away, and you may also wish to venture to Picton Castle, a 13th century castle with beautiful gardens and grounds, 15 miles.
This ground-floor property, tucked behind the owner’s bungalow, has an open-plan lounge with a comfortable seating area around the TV, a dining table and chairs in the centre, and a neat kitchen by the window at the far end. Everything you need is at hand to fully relax and recharge. On the same level there is a choice of two bright bedrooms, a double and a single, and a prettily tiled shower room.
A pretty, private patio adds another dimension to this welcoming property, offering the chance to eat and drink outdoors while enjoying the fresh Welsh air and making plans for your next day’s adventures.
