Bursting with character and charm, this pretty retreat in Ceredigion is a fantastic place to gather family and friends together, be it for a celebration or a relaxing break away. Situated only 2 miles from the coast, you can head off on an adventure along the Wales Coast Path from Llanrhystud, or take a gentle walk along the dog-friendly beach to soak up the tranquillity of this beautiful area.
Gather your loved ones together in the grand open-plan living room/diner where large, sumptuous sofas, exposed overhead beams and traditional brick walls create a cosy, contemporary space in which to relax. At the heart of the room is a roaring wood burner, perfect for those cold winter months, and a dining table seating eight sits to one side for delicious family feasts. Next door, the kitchen offers a less formal dining table for breakfasts, with a traditionally styled kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook up tasty treats for all of your guests. The first two of the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, both furnished with blissful king-size beds and enjoying the privacy of their own en-suites. Upstairs, you’ll find the final two bedrooms which are well-suited to children with twin beds, en-suite shower rooms and plenty of space to play. Outside, a lawned garden offers a place for garden games, with a picnic bench for al fresco dining, or sitting and watching the world go by with the awe-inspiring coastal views.
Endless hours of family fun can be had at the beaches on this stretch of the coast path, including New Quay (14 miles) and Cardigan (30 miles) both of which offer a quintessential seaside experience. Avid golfers could enjoy a round at Penrhos Golf Club (less than 2 miles away) before stopping off for a bite to eat in the restaurant. For a spot of shopping, Aberaeron (7 miles) is a perfectly picturesque place to wander, with a selection of dog-friendly eateries serving up fresh local food to fuel your day.
