Benefitting from a sunny wraparound deck outside, you can make the most of the sunshine, be it with a morning coffee in hand or an evening meal eaten at sunset. A pretty footpath via the old railway line takes you directly to the beach of Wiseman’s Bridge (1 mile), perfect for picnics and quality time spent with your loved ones just a short walk away.
Upon entering the lodge you’ll find yourself in the cosy open-plan living area. Two comfortable sofas sit around a TV, offering a perfect place for the family to kick back and relax after a day out exploring. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to fix up a feast, with a breakfast bar seating two making a lovely spot to start the day. In addition, a four-seater dining table provides space for mealtimes spent together, or to set up a board game or two. At bedtime, take your pick from two bright bedrooms, one of which is a double with an en-suite shower. The final bedroom is a playful twin, perfect for children, which has use of the family bathroom. Surrounding the lodge is a decked terrace complete with a table and chairs for sunny summer days.
Visit the fantastic seaside destination of Saundersfoot (3 miles) for a quintessential beach day on the golden sands building sandcastles and taste-testing the local ice cream. A little further afield is Tenby with its four blissful beaches and picturesque harbour where you can hop aboard a boat trip out to the charming Caldey Island where puffins reside. Alternatively, make a trip further inland to Folly Farm (3 miles) where an array of exotic and farm animals reside and there are activities to thrill all ages.
