Gather your family for a multigenerational getaway on the Welsh peninsula of Gower. This wooden lodge is part of a larger holiday complex, so you can book other properties if you’re part of a big group. Make the most of the surrounding area, with its stunning beaches and rich history, then return to the complex for the facilities, and finish the day in your own hot tub.
The property opens up into an open-plan living space. There are floor-to-ceiling windows and a vaulted roof that add to the airy feeling, where everything is light and comfortable. To one side, you’ll see a kitchen, equipped with everything you’ll need for meals, plus a coffee machine. There’s a farmhouse-style table, and finally a lounge area, where you can relax with your companions. You’ll have three bedrooms, two of which have king-size beds, and the other is a children’s room with bunk beds. The interior is completed with a family bathroom, featuring a bath, a separate shower and a WC. Head outside, where you’ll find a lawn and patio. The patio has seating, an outdoor dining area, and best of all, the hot tub. The holiday complex has a cafe if you don’t fancy cooking and there’s a children’s play area to keep the little ones entertained.
You’ll be staying in the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with some of Wales’ best beaches. Favourites include Rhossili Bay, 13 miles away, which is great for surfing and home to seals and dolphins. There’s also Caswell Bay (5 miles) and Culver Hole (11 miles), which is part natural cave and part medieval structure. It overlooks the sea and is full of legends. Historians are sure to enjoy Oystermouth Castle (3 miles), which was built in the 12th century and now hosts seasonal events.
