Enjoy a game of pool or soak in the hot tub at this sociable farmhouse retreat, ideal for a group of friends or a family get-together. Set in the remote West Wales countryside, it’s perfect for peace and quiet, hiking, cycling and days out at the seaside.
Combining original features and quality furnishings in a modern country style, this beautiful property provides room for everyone to spread out. The farmhouse-style kitchen leads through to a conservatory/diner with superlative rural views – enjoy a delicious meal here then retreat to either the lounge with a wood burner or the cosy snug. Or, if you are feeling competitive, head to the games room in the garden for an evening of pool or table tennis. Back to the ground floor of the house, you’ll also find a pretty double bedroom and a shower room, plus a utility room. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, all with vaulted ceilings and handsome furnishings: a king-size and a twin room sharing a bathroom, and a further king-size with an en-suite shower room. This latter bedroom can be accessed through the twin room or, if you prefer to lock the adjoining door, via its own staircase. On warm days, enjoy the views over the Welsh valleys from the patio, or hop into the hot tub on the raised area by the summerhouse, where there’s further outdoor seating.
The farmhouse is at the top of a valley, a mile from the village of Rhos, surrounded by country and woodland walks. Head to historic Carmarthen, 11.5 miles, for indoor and outdoor markets and a range of independent shops and places to eat and drink, or to the north coast for a choice of lovely beaches, including dog-friendly Aberporth, 15 miles, or Llangrannog, 15.5 miles, great for water sports.
