This coastal cottage, brimming with charm and character, is just 150 metres from the coast at Ferryside (about 8.5 miles south of Carmarthen) and is perfect for a family holiday. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lovely garden and as well as being close to miles of beach, it’s near the local pub too.
The spacious home-from-home is warm and welcoming, with traditional features and comfy furnishings. It has a cosy lounge with plenty of space to relax in front of the open fire and Smart TV. There’s a separate dining room for enjoying your delicious creations, a galley kitchen, which looks out over the garden, and a downstairs WC and separate shower/utility room. The three attractive bedrooms are upstairs – two doubles at the front which have partial sea views; one has an en-suite shower room and WC also. The back bedroom is a cosy twin and there’s also a family bathroom. There’s plenty of outside space to enjoy too: a front patio perfect for your morning coffee and a rear terraced garden with a patio area for eating alfresco.
Across the road, just a short stroll away (150 metres), is Ferryside Beach. It’s quiet and secluded with no dog restrictions, and great for walking, fishing, kayaking, and paddling. Catch a ferry across the River Towy from Ferryside to Llansteffan and walk up to the castle ruins through the woods to enjoy breathtaking views of the estuary. The cottage is about 100 metres from the pub in Ferryside and there’s also a cafe and a restaurant nearby for evenings when you don’t feel like cooking. For days out, head to Carmarthen (8.5 miles away) to visit the British Bird of Prey Centre, Carmarthen Castle, and the Heritage Centre.
