Property code: 88462

Charming annexe conversion set within 4 acres of grounds in a central location to explore both the coast and countryside of Pembrokeshire.

Escape to the country for a relaxing break at this cottage-style annexe in rural Pembrokeshire, 1.5 miles from Lampeter Velfrey. With two versatile bedrooms, it equally suits one or two couples or a small family looking for a Welsh adventure! Rugged stone good looks from the outside are more than matched by easy-going modern interiors with rustic features. Bright and breezy open-plan living accommodation downstairs lets you feel connected to the great outdoors.

This characterful cottage welcomes you with its warm original features and cosy feel. Downstairs, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a wonderful space. The wood-finish kitchen has attractive red tiles and is separated by a large exposed wooden beam and post from the rest of the living space. There’s a breakfast bar with stools so you can chat to the chef, and then the rest of the space is taken up by a small dining table for four along with lounge seating and a TV. There are floorboards in the lounge area, lots of other exposed wood, and windows on three sides of this space, so it’s a relaxing and light place to hang out. At bedtime, there’s one double and one twin bedroom upstairs, both have lovely wooden floors, classic furniture and charming dormer-style windows and sloping ceilings for that extra quaint factor. The large, paved patio with furniture outside is a great spot for al fresco feasts taking in the stunning countryside views.

The market town of Narberth is 3.5 miles away further inland with its wealth of independent shops, eateries and galleries. For a day eating ice cream and building sandcastles at the beach, head for Amroth (7 miles) or perennially popular Tenby (13 miles). Family fun outings locally include Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (6.5 miles) and Oakwood Theme Park (8 miles) – days you’re all sure to remember.

A nicely presented property in a quiet, rural location. A comfortable stay, and owner Chris who lives next door was very kind and helpful during our few days there. My wife and two young children also enjoyed their visit. Be prepared for a mile or so of narrow country lanes to that of a more major road from the property, but you get used to it. Chris was so friendly and welcoming. The cottage is set in a beautiful, peaceful location down some fairly narrow lanes, but only a few miles from Narberth and Amroth. We had a great time visiting some of our favourite places and discovering some new ones. We would definitely like to come back to this cottage in the future.

Everything worked perfectly; it poured rain, but we were warm and dry regardless of Hurricane Lees remnants. The beds were comfortable. The 4 of us were very happy to be there!

We had a wonderful week. The location of the cottage is superb, so quiet and with lovely hill views. It was great to have access to a washing machine, tumble drier and freezer. The owner was at all times friendly and helpful and we really appreciated his generosity with his home grown produce.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Lawn Cottage. Chris was an excellent host. Enjoyed our parting gift from Chris of freshly dug Pembroke potatoes.

Chris made us most welcome and gave us excellent eggs. Very rural location suited us perfectly, but amenities easily accessed.

Fantastic little cottage in a very lovely peaceful location. 20-30 minutes to lots of local towns and attractions. Owner was very helpful and provided little extras which were much appreciated. Lovely to see the goats and chickens each morning over the lane. Everything was clean and comfy and will definitely return.
