This stunning cottage is on the Gower Peninsula less than a mile from Port Eynon Bay, close to Overton Cliff Nature Reserve. It’s ideally located for spending a family holiday exploring the area on picturesque coastal walks and having fun on the nearby beaches.
The house has many traditional features and is tastefully furnished throughout. The country-style kitchen is clean and bright, and the lounge/dining room offers a comfy, relaxing place to sit and play games together. It has stunning original wooden beams and ceiling, a wood burner, and an elegant dining area. There’s also a shower room and a separate WC on the ground floor. Up the steep and uneven, ships wooden stairs are two comfortable double bedrooms ¬– one with sea views – and a Jack and Jill WC used by both bedrooms. Outside is a pretty courtyard with a bistro table and chairs, somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Port Eynon village and beach are less than a mile away and there’s a pay and display car park at the beach if you don’t fancy walking or you’ve got lots of beach gear. It’s a popular bay for walking, building sandcastles and paddling. The Gower Coast Path offers stunning walks with many parts of it accessible for wheelchair users, buggies, and mobility scooters. Gower Peninsula is known for its stunning beaches and there are several close by, including Rhossili Beach (6 miles), Oxwich Bay (6 miles), Three Cliffs Bay (7.5 miles) and Caswell Bay (13 miles). Explore the boutique shops and restaurants in the Mumbles with views across the huge bay (14 miles away). Wander along the promenade there or catch a ride on the Swansea Bay Rider Land Train, which runs from Blackpill Lido to Southend Gardens.
