Classic charm flows throughout this welcoming abode which sleeps six over four bedrooms. With plenty of family-friendly places to explore nearby, it’s a great destination for families with children. Enjoy beach days in Tenby (1.5 miles) and meals out at one of Penally’s village pubs – great for rewarding a walk on the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Head inside and make yourself at home in the lounge where you can choose from one of two sofas. Curl up in front of the open fire, switch on the TV/DVD and get cosy for a family night in. The mellow dining room boasts glimpses of the sea and a piano and is perfect for dining together around the table to catch up on the day’s events. The country style continues into the kitchen. The bedrooms, which reside on the first floor, are tranquil places to drift off. The four-poster king-size bed boasts its own en-suite bathroom, whilst the double and two singles share the family bathroom. The singles are great for little ones and are decorated in brighter colours and patterns. Take your morning drink out onto the balcony or descend the spiral staircases (children to be assisted) and spend time in the garden. There is parking for two small cars.
Stay local to Penally and visit the village’s church, the two pubs or the prehistoric Hoyle’s Mouth Cave. Afterwards, hop on the Coast Path and walk 1 mile to Giltar Point or head to Tenby and splash in the sea. South Beach, North Beach and Castle Beach are all close to Tenby Harbour where you can board a boat to Caldey, go on a fishing trip or spy seals in the water. If younger guests fancy a sand-free day, visit Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, 8.5 miles away.
