Step back in a time with a stay at this three-storey, Welsh cottage which was once part of a woollen mill. Now beautifully converted, the three-bedroom property, close to Newcastle Emlyn, 11 miles from Cardigan, sleeps five guests. Explore the surrounding area with its many historic sites and enchanting beauty spots. Head to Aberporth, 9 miles away, to go to the beach, take trips out on the water and follow scenic, coastal walks.

Wander into this enticing property to find bright accommodation with an abundance of character. Make your way into the lounge to settle down in front of the Smart TV/DVD, read for a while or discuss your exciting day. Prepare hearty holiday feasts in the kitchen/diner, where you can all gather round the table. Climb up to the first floor to find a double bedroom and a single room. A generous twin room, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a super-king-size if required, is on the second floor. All the bedrooms share the family shower room. Take your meals out in the fresh air on your private patio. Explore the shared grounds and find you have parking for one car with the cottage. Unfortunately, because there is a stream in the grounds, and this cottage has an open-tread staircase, this property is not suitable for children under four.

Learn more about the history of the area at the National Wool Museum, 1 mile away. Make a trip to see Ffynone Waterfall, 6.5 miles from the cottage. Follow a circular 4-mile walk through beautiful woodland while you are here. Head into Cardigan to go shopping, dine out and see the castle. Attempt a stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the town to take in magnificent scenery and see if you can spot dolphins in the water.

Perfect little cottage - not too near hustle and bustle but not far from amenities - both the cottage and the grounds are stunning.

A really nice and cosy cottage, very clean. The owners were really nice and left us a (vegan) welcome package, which was really appreciated! Lots of interesting sights in the neighbourhood (mainly by car).

Fantastic week away, short notice change of plan but glad we chose this cottage. As central to many locations as you can be in West Wales, great place to relax and take it easy or get out and about.
