The bustling Georgian town of Aberaeron is known for its picturesque harbour and has a variety of great shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as a couple of pretty shingle beaches. From the harbour you can take a boat trip out to spot dolphins, or head along the coast to the popular resort of New Quay (8 miles). Inland, attractions include the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron (2.5 miles) and Cae Hir Gardens (10 miles).
