Make yourself at home in the stylish kitchen and cook up a feast for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat in the dining area, where you can enjoy sea glimpses. Alternatively, head out to the decked area to the rear of the property, fire-up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, sink into a sofa in the living area and chat with your nearest and dearest in front of the wood burner. At the end of the day, there are two bedrooms to choose from – one master and one with bunk beds. Make sure you take the opportunity to head up to the castle ruins that overlook the beach and climb the one remaining tower – the views of the beach and estuary from the top are wonderful. Nature-lovers will adore an afternoon at the National Botanic Garden of Wales (16 miles), while culture-vultures will be fired-up to visit nearby Laugharne (12.5 miles), which is renowned for the writings of its most famous resident, Dylan Thomas.
