Discover home comforts at this traditional holiday cottage, a detached farmhouse property with an abundance of space for nine guests to stay. Happily hosting any family or large group of friends, the accommodation provides the perfect base for those hoping to hike the coastal path, explore the pretty seafront town of Aberystwyth (5.5 miles) or the Ceredigion countryside further inland. After long days out and about, head home to rest aching muscles in your very own private hot tub or simply unwind in the property’s generous gardens.
Despite being able to host a large group, space and privacy are assured when staying in this expansive property. The ground floor features three great places to unwind: the farmhouse kitchen with Aga and breakfast table; the sunny conservatory with views across the garden; and the inviting lounge with a warming wood burner. Come together to enjoy meals in the designated dining room, and after dinner, challenge younger guests to a game or two of table football. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find everyone catered for across five versatile bedrooms. One of these rooms offers a super-king-size, zip-and-link bed, whilst another is a private single with lovely countryside views.
Take in views of the beautiful Cardigan Bay from Morfa Bychan Beach (3 miles), a sand and shingle spot where surfing and boating offer you the chance to see seals, dolphins and often even whales out in the water. Heading a little further up the coast takes you to the seaside town of Aberystwyth (5.5 miles), a place to visit castle ruins or spend time in the pier’s arcade. From here, you can also board the Vale of Rheidol Railway, a popular steam train attraction which takes you all the way to the beauty spot of Devil’s Bridge Falls (14.5 miles).
